Little Library Box

A project  that I have worked with Abby Lyon on

Funded by the Saint Joseph Lions and Saint Joseph Jaycees

Project was created and maintained by Lyon’s family, Saint Joseph residents and local Boys scout troop and opened in July, 2015

They are located in:

Northland Park
Lake Wobegon Tail Head
Klinefelter Park
Hollow Park
Cloverdale Park

“What’s in the library today?”

People might ask as they stroll through their neighborhood. Maybe one library has mystery stories, one has picture books for kids, and another has memoirs. Down the block, an English teacher shares his favorite novels while another resident puts out a new book every month about canning, gardening, or bird watching. Some fifth grade girls exchange American Girl stories while the boys are being introduced to Huckleberry Finn and Tom Saywer. A wooden bench sits next to the Little Library in Cloverdale Park. A group of bicyclists stop at the Lake Wobegon Trail and share a book of poems written by Garrison Keillor. The nightly walkers, children and elders alike, sit and read to each other.”

Please Check out the Facebook for updates on the project! Feel free to contact Abby on donations of books, funds, time or hosting a location.
